Multiple Java/J2EE Developer / Team Lead Role
Java/J2EE Technical Team Lead (Banking)
You will work in Java/J2EE delivery projects to provide technical design and development expertise. You will be hands-on and work with local and off-shore teams to deliver projects on the technical aspects.
o • Min 5 years softtware development experience using Java / J2EE with prior involvement in design
o Must be competent in J2EE (include iFrame), MQ and Oracle
o • Hands-on and be able to lead and guide developers
o • Knowledge and application of application design concepts using OO methodologies, and be able to design systems with performance, operational maintenance, and concurrency considerations. Be able to carry out database modeling and design
o • Assist in integration testing, be able to diagnose program defects, integration and performance issues and to recommend and carry out necessary follow-ups
o • Ensure completeness and quality of development work carried out
o • Be able to talk to clients when necessary to explain design rationale and defend design

Java/J2EE Developers
As a member of the core development team, to assist the team leads in the requirements gathering and development work;
 Assist team leads in the design of the application;
 Assist to coordinate the development work to be done either local or off-shore where applicable;
 Develop system test plan and package and perform system testing;
 Involve in all aspects of user acceptance testing and implementation of the system;
 Provide support such as problem resolution, tracking, escalation and closure;
 Prepare, update and maintain system documentation where applicable;
 Any other project tasks assigned
Job Requirements:
 Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science or related.
 1 -3 years of experience in systems integration / development. Preferably with 1 full development life cycle
 Experienced in design and development of database application, user interfaces, workflow, web applications and conduct Integration testing;
 Experienced in the following tools, languages, and platforms, preferred:
 J2EE (must) , Java (JSP, Servlet), XML, UML;
 SQL
 Development on UNIX environment using WebLogic or Websphere application servers;
 Good written and oral communications skills required
 Good coordination skills
 This role calls for candidates with interest in hands-on development.

Java Developer (SaaS)
• Min. 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Experienced Java version 5 and above, SQL, JSP, Servlet, JDBC
• Experience in application development frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate in the Java platform.
• Experience in revision control and build management tools, such as Subversion, Ant and/or Maven.
• Strong ability to debug program defects
• Experienced in executing SDLC methodology.
• Proactive and creative in problem solving.
• Experience in applying notations such as UML, context diagrams, process diagram for requirement and solution modelling a plus.
• Knowledge in the development of highly-available web and enterprise applications in Java platform that access message queuing, web services, directory services, email services and single sign-on services highly desired.
• Knowledgeable in UNIX/LINUX shell scripting a plus

Java/J2EE Application Team Lead (SaaS)
• Elicit requirements through interviews, feedbacks and issue reports, communication sessions, use cases, task and workflows, analysis, site visits, surveys.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers through delivering the functional requirement (business requirements), use case scenarios, data models, screen and interface designs.
• Produce development effort estimates based on critical evaluation of factors such as requirement scope, problem complexity, level of developer experience, amount of design and code reuse.
• Produce high-level application (architecture) design and functional specifications using industrial best practices through the use of modeling tools such as UML, context diagrams, process diagrams and data dictionary.
• Produce detailed design specifications through application of patterns, frameworks, libraries and database modeling.
• Produce structural outline of program through the use of pseudo codes.
• Mentor junior developers in producing design and test specifications and use of tools and templates.
• Organize developers in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Manage offshore application developers.
• Collaborate with developers and operation staff to produce impact analysis and feasibility studies on change requests.
• Work independently with stakeholders under direction of the project manager.

Requirements
• Experience in applying SDLC methodology covering the development phases of requirements elicitation, analysis and design, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Strong in verbal, written and inter-personal communication.
• Highly analytical and with experience in creative problem solving, particularly in time critical situations.
• Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Proactive team leader and team player.
• Experience in applying notations such as UML, context diagrams, process diagram for requirement and solution modeling.
• Experience in guiding junior application developers in project implementation
• Experience in the development of highly-available web and enterprise applications in Java platform that access message queuing, web services, directory services, email services and single sign-on services highly desired.
• Experience in application development frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate in the Java platform.
• Experience in revision control and build management tools, such as Subversion, Ant, Maven and Cruise Control.
• Knowledgeable in UNIX/LINUX and Windows shell scripting.
