AE/Engr (Installation, Check, Integration & Testing)

SUMMARY
Plans, designs, directs, coordinates and implement the Installation, Check, Integration & Testing activities of the system of the assigned project by performing the following duties personally or through team activities. Ensure the developed system and solutions meet the high standard as set out by customers or international standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the followings. Other duties may be assigned when needs arise.
Responsibilities
• Design interfaces and cabling for the system.
• Design maintenance task package for the system.
• Perform integration and testing for mechanical and electronic components.
• Provisioning of direction and support to the sub-contractors in all technical aspects related to system installation, checkout, integration and test.
• Supervising and assessing the performance of the sub-contractor based on the assigned work packages.
• Participate in technical meeting with customer/user.
• To participate in user trials.
• Purchase of ICIT materials.
• Prepare different types of project documentations for submission to contractors and customer.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable training may be provided for individuals to help equip him/her with the required abilities to perform the essential functions.
Education and/or Experience
• Degree in Electrical or equivalent with two years experience; or Diploma with four to six years related experience in system development or outdoor installation work.Experience in installing communication equipment and outdoor antenna is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in VSAT module and microwave/RF equipment module is preferred.
• Experience in using Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD / SolidWorks is an advantage.
Language / Communication Skills
• Ability to effectively present information to the project team.
• Ability to communicate clearly his design with other engineers or customers.
• Proficient in English and a second language (both written and spoken).
Technical / Reasoning Ability
• Ability to troubleshoot a communication system in an outdoor environment.
• Ability to define problems, established facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Able to recommend specific solutions
Physical Demands
• Able to work in long hours.
• Physically fit to work under the hot sun in an outdoor environment
• Ability to react to short notice activation to go on site and to travel overseas occasionally.
